A guide to the artificial self

This is an imagining of the nameless protagonist's apartment in Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. Contrasting the bare and naturalistic landscape within his subconscious (in which his exterior self is represented as a shadow), this apartment is highly adorned with the consumer trappings of modernity - using material goods to create and reflect an idea of individuality.
